The Rest House is established in 2009-2010 and located in Thajwas Wildlife Sanctuary near Sonamarg and is 150 Km from Srinagar International Airport & 137 Km from Tourist Reception Centre, Srinagar. The area is surrounded by Coniferous type of forests dominated by Kail and Fir trees. Average temperature in Summers is 15⁰c and sub-zero during winters with snow cover for about 6 months.
