The Forest Department since its beginning constructed Forest Rest Houses/Inspection Huts generally in remote and interior places of Forests for management purposes.  These places were strategic, most scenic, overlooking vast mountainous stretches and flowing streams.  In order to include people also in its conservation efforts, the Government of J&K has decided to open these Forest Rest Houses / Inspection Huts for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and people interested in conservation of these natural resources.
