Cancellation / Rescheduling & Refund Policy

I. Cancellation / Rescheduling & Refund Policy of the Department

A) Cancellation of Bookings:

1. The intimation for cancellation should be addressed to  the e-mail address: jkforesthuts@gmail.com. However, in case of cancellation of Bookings no refund will be made.

All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of J&K Courts only.

B) Rescheduling of Booking Dates

I. If any request for change in reservation is received, it shall be subject to the paying of additional amount as per follows;

  • Request received within 72 hrs but not less than 24 hrs - Rs.600 will be charged as rescheduling fee per room.
  • Request received before 72 hrs - Rs.400 will be charged as rescheduling fee per room.

II. Requests received within 24 hours for rescheduling of dates shall not be entertained.

III. The booking can be changed only once and once changed cannot be cancelled.

IV. All Changes are subject to the availability of the accommodation at a particular destination on a particular date.

II. Accomodation related Policy:

  • In the premises of Forest Rest Houses (FRHs/Inspection Huts, consumption of liquor is strictly prohibited. The guest should not indulge in any illegal activity during their stay.  
  • Pets are not allowed in the premises of FRHs/IHs.
  • In a room only two adult members will be allowed per room.  Extra mattresses can be provided for non-adult member of the family based on the availability.
  • No guests of visitors are allowed inside the room.
  • The visitors are expected to follow social and cultural norms of the location of FRHs/IHs.
  • Check in time is 12.00 PM.  Check out time is 10.30 AM.
  • Booking can be for the maximum of 3 nights only.
  • All the fixtures and furnishings of the FRHs/IHs should be properly handled during the course of stay by the visitors. In case of any damage to the materials/property by the guests, the cost shall be recovered from them. 

 

III. Privacy Policy

The Forest Department is committed to ensure the security and confidentiality of all Personal Identifying Information (PII) that you provide. Personal Identifying Information is information about you that is personally identifiable and includes your name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number(s), and credit card information. The PII will only be used for booking related aspects only. The Forest Department will not share or disclose the PII to anybody.
